BEAVERTAUR

Back by popular demand (you know who you are)... THE BEAVERTAUR! That's right, it's like a centaur, but instead half man and half horse, it's half beaver and... half beaver? So... it's basically a beaver. BUT WITH MORE LEGS. And armor.

The first iteration of him is actually over 3 years old, and I revisited the idea a couple of weeks ago and created this piece because I wanted my next hand-painted 3D model to be based off my own concept art and not someone elses (ie. lodovica and cat theif/rogue). Now to model this son-of-a...

Cat Thief/Rogue

Finished this a month ago, too lazy to pose it back then and also  now but I'll post a screenshot just so you can see what I've been doing
Based off this concept (not mine)

First Handpainted Character Model!

Better presentation and wireframes to come later! Just posted to show I'm not dead.
Lodovica and Skydoll belong to Alessandro Barbucci :P

Pardon the tits, this is the only decent picture of Lodovica I could find on Google Images, I used the actual comic book for reference but I don't have a scanner to scan the exact reference I used.

Also, title is just to piss Gen off haha.

Character Models, neatly packaged?

Sal and Porker (placeholder named, mind you), a collaborative effort between myself and Brett Somers, a skilled 3D artist who excels at texturing.

Ah, I'm sure you're tired of seeing this guy. I know I am.

I went and revisited this old guy because he was in need of some TLC. I like to think it looked better than before.

More to come as portfolio/graduation looms around the corner. And by that I mean next week. I'm so dead.

Update:

Tikbalang revisited (pew paintjob) and progress on the monkey.

No I'm not slacking, Well, maybe a little?

It's been a while, so here's what I've been up to.
First is a WIP of a character for a game designed by a couple of friends of mine.

They're supposed to be agile, ranger-types.
It's based off this quick concept sketch, by yours truly.

Furrieslolololol
And to show that I've not given up on that monkey concept from earlier, here's the low-poly model which I created and retopped in zBrush. I'll be taking it back into zBrush for more hi-poly detail as well as painting, as soon as I unwrap it in Maya.
He still needs his armor too!

If you're wondering why this is all I've gotten done so far in the time that I've been absent, it's because I've been working on a wolf model wherein I created a complete rig with blend shapes as well. I'll upload it once it's either been animated, or once I re-do the wolf model since I'm not happy with the current iteration of it.
